This deck is packed with fun, interesting and surprising synergies, focused on getting the full value out of Soulbound Sagami and his little brother, Elderwood Hermit.

Depending on your draw, the play-style can involve aggressive plays, feints, board control, and sudden wins from nowhere. It requires flexibility and board sense, but also has a lot of sheer power to work with.

First, the star of the show: Soulbound Sagami. This card has great potential value (16 points of health and life), but it can be tricky to extract that value. Usually, you want to fight with it at least once before sacrificing it, and you need to make sure you have another creature on the board to receive the bonus. The deck's extensive mobility and sacrifice options both help maximize the chances of getting the full value out of them, as well as the hermits. Additionally, you'll be very happy to get the Sagami/Hermit bonuses on an Ursus, or an Assasin (4/6 shielded deathtouch? YES!) or even a Lord of the Wastes, which turns into a 10-8 two-turn clock for 2 Faeria, with the help of a well-used Sagami.

Between the bonuses, universal damage effects, and extensive mobility options, you'll have lots of satisfying experiences suddenly flying into someones face with a Plauge Bear*tm or other large, buffed threat, while Assassins, Flash Winds and global damage helping you juke through taunts for a win.

If your attacks are repulsed by defenders, use your mobility to keep your threats alive and on the board until you have the perfect opening to win. Bait out hard control (Frogify/Last Nightmare) by waiting to buff until it is too late. Oh, and have fun! The deck is viable ... but the main reason to play it is the pure joy of surprising someone with a flying bear to the face that just popped out of a brand new forest, flashed its way past a taunt, and then suddenly turned into a 20/9 flyer with charge 2.
