Incident Report: Saturday May 6th

Written by Abrakam  |  05/09/2017

As some of you have noticed, the Faeria servers experienced issues on Saturday morning and we would like to address what happened.

A new build-order strategy: The Forest Kick

On Saturday morning, we experienced two consecutive servers crashes. Those crashes were due to the Egg Hatching event that started at 5:50am CEST, the growing amount of Faeria players resulted in database requests which were too large for our servers to handle. We managed to put everything back in order by 9:36am CEST, with minimal data-loss.

Players logged in during that period, in addition to being disconnected, had their accounts rolled back to the state they were in at 6:13am CEST. Rolled back in this case means that most of the actions performed (creation of new decks, victories/losses, new daily quests, opening a chest, purchases, ...) between 6:14am and 9:36am CEST have not been saved and have been lost. We are extremely sorry for this inconvenience.

After getting the servers back up online, we went through a data recovery process and here is what we are applying:

  • Every player who was logged in during that period and suffered data loss will receive 2 Battle Chests for free. We expect this process to be completed within the next 24 hours
  • For players who purchased Gems during that period, in addition to the 2 Battle Chests, a script granting them the amount purchased during that period has already been run and they all have received the Gem amount they had purchased during that period.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and we have taken actions in order to avoid, to the best of our capacity, any data loss as Faeria continues to grow.

If you have any more question or concerns, feel free to contact us at support@faeria.com and we will make sure to address them.

  • The Faeria Team
