Carassius Creation Sac [SO3]

A deck with the creation / carassius combo as the main game plan with sac and rakoan elements.

BACKGROUND

Biomancer to tutor out not-sky-yak is nothing new. But I sometimes had issue with the balance of biomancer to skyyak. If one has 1-2 biomancers, it can be inconsistent when you draw your key fish, causing the biomancer to have highly variable value. Going to 3 biomancers with just skyyak was always too much.

In order to combat lonely biomancers, I added a sac package. It was originally just rakoan, but with further testing it was confirmed bone collector still does silly things. The main benefit of running further rakoans is currently just the illusionist (besides their inherent swarm), helps to get surprise value out of biomancers on board or a recruited 'koan.


GAMEPLAY

The main win condition is to get the exponential value out of your fish before you die. The one off gift of the rakoa ties well with your plan, and can be used to help win a race or cement control over board.

Time of legends pulls doomgate, starting a draw engine that helps make use of smaller bodies, line up deaths nearby buff collector, and potentially generate a large threat.

Sunken tower is a fun card, you can stall aggressive lands, make collection awkward for opp, and force trades how you want them. Sometimes can be tricky where to place with a doomgate and early creatures on board.

Key thing to remember is your total land goal, which is ~3 lakes, 2 deserts, 1 forest
2nd forest typically happens naturally to get better bone collector positioning, but it also isn't needed until you need to use gift. Focus on collecting from two wells if not under a ton of pressure, and try to get bone collector snowballing whenever you can. Any extra resources needed to be spent on a 2f card means longer you can look for your fish.
