Y Rush (Resurgence)
Yellow Rush after Resurgence nerfs + new support cards. I have around 5 Yellow Rush decks and this one is one of my favorites so far. Mulligan for Shaytan Demon, Khalim's Prayer, and Oradrim Sagittarius usually. You want to be able to drop easy low cost threats like Shaytan Demon and Shaytan Scavenger early that put the opponent behind when trying to fight them efficiently early, but also have Sagi in the backline on any turn where you plan to go face, and if you don't have at least 1 Prayer it will be very hard to win vs many decks.
As player 1, go Desert in front of orb first, then Double Neutral forward second almost always, most other land placement will put you very far behind. As player 2, you sometimes have to play Desert then Explore Desert forward turn 1-2 depending on opponent board, especially if it can set up Sagi/Flash Salmon/Shaytan Scavenger vs an opponent that will not be able to respond to it efficiently, but otherwise you will just go Double Neutral forward as well. Having the initial Desert down is very important for Sagi position.
I'm not using larger minions like Deranged Monkey as much since Shaytan Scavenger is cheaper and often works just as well as Monkey vs the swarm heavy decks people are running, combined with the fact that you can't spam Neutrals as hard due to Khalim's Prayer nerf limiting Monkey's positional benefits, combined with the nerfs to Firestorm that have many players staying away from playing Red control decks that commonly have Flame Burst, but at the end of the day Deranged Monkey is still a good card if you want to run it instead. Deranged Monkey also often becomes a 2/2 when hit by the new Humbling Vision, as opposed to Shaytan Scavenger which goes to 2/1, which is very important for trading well early when considering their costs.
3 Soul Drains are definitely required for current meta, and depending on opponent you may want more or less Choking Sands and potentially less Last Nightmares. Zealous Crusader as always is your endgame, but you often may have to play him at as low as 5/5, you just have to practice the deck to know when you need to use him as a smaller Tempo drop to close out the game fast. Barrensky Vermin is very valuable for attacking face anywhere even through Taunts, and he s a useful blocker not just to protect your Crusaders and Shaytan Demons, but also as a blocker that can still go face in Rush mirrors.
