How to Kill Rapala - Rapala Killer

If you are stuck with Rapala, this deck can help you get through it.

This is a pretty awesome deck if you learn how to use it. I have used it even on ranked after beating rapala because it can be a very powerful deck. There are some great combos in here like:
Lord of Terror (LOT) with Derelict Tower;
Firestorm with Blood Singers;
Grim Guards, Shedim Brutes, and LOT with Gift of steel;
Use Flame Burst only when will have effect on turn, do not just use to damage opponent if first few turns. (this does not apply to Rapala)

Rapala Strategy:
As you may have noticed, you must try to kill Rapala as fast as possible because if not you are burned by it destroying your deck. Ideally, you need to draw Rebel Slinger, LOT, Derelict Tower, Seifer's Wraft, Firestorm, Flame Burst, Blood Singer and maybe a Shedim brute by the time he gives you all the cards.
The idea is not to rush to him but gather faeria (you can use rebel slingers for this) in both of your wells and damage him from your base with
LOT + Derelict Tower Combo,
Blood Singer and Firestorm (will destroy a lot of his smaller creatures and cause damage).
Seifer's Wrath his 0/2 creatures or anything that can be destroyed to cause damage.
Basically try to use every card in the deck to damage his god as fast as possible. Do not spend faeria/cards on creatures unless it is necessary in order to damage god. With Rapala every point you can do to his god counts, so always damage his god unless it is not possible because if you start caring about creatures when you can damage god you will not kill him in time.

After your base is set you may need to rush a couple of creatures like Grim Guard, Shedim Brute or LOT to his base. This creatures may be the ones that enable you to kill him by attacking his creatures and causing damage to his god with their combat ability.

It took me about 3 attempts to kill rapala with this deck.

Remember beating Rapala is all about getting a good draw, if you feel you are behind and you won't be able to beat him, don't lose more time, surrender and start over with a fresh draw. It might take you a couple of draws before you can beat him.
