As the commander-in-chief (Rakoan Chieftain) you control an arsenal of laser guided precision drone strikes (Flash Salmon), use them wisely to defeat your foes!

*Mulligan*
- Look for Axe Grinder or any other red creature in your opening hand, if you already have a red creature you can also keep Seifer's Wrath or Flame Burst, throw away all yellow cards.

*Land Placement*
- This deck requires 2 mountains & 2 deserts, start with the mountains then make the deserts, go to the same side as your opponent and make a desert at the well for Wind Soldier.

*The Game Plan*
- Rakoan Chieftain turns your cheap creatures into powerful attackers, so use them to take out your opponent’s collectors and gain control of the wells, after that you can go face.

This deck got me from rank 10 to God rank, it's fun to play and works pretty well give it a try! :)

Cool! the deck involves lots of positional and tactical decision making, it might take a bit of getting used to but once you do its really fun! :3

First i would like to say that i like the idea with your deck, it’s always nice to see less popular cards getting used so +1. But i also have a question. How are you faring without any hard removals (choking/LN) ?

Thanks, I also like to see less popular cards getting used that’s why i wanted to spotlight the Chieftain.

To answer your question about not having hard removal, the deck can pump out high atk values so taking down big creatures isn’t too much a problem, the other day I had a game against a Ytempo deck and i managed to kill all 3 of his Colossus and went on to win the game. I have to admit tho that Combat creatures can be a bit annoying since you have to attack them thus you’re giving them combat triggers.

Also I want say that I made some changes to this deck (UPDATED the original post):
-3 Khalim’s Follower +3 Axe Grinders
-3 Lord of the Waste +3 Kobold Warbeast

Upon further testing I felt that the deck needed some more board presence that’s why I added the Grinders and Warbeasts. The Followers were a bit too situational so I cut all of them and the Lords don’t have enough sac targets now so I cut all of them too.

I’m going to give this deck a try, because I have not played any decks other than GB Ramp, Red Combat, and Mono Green. So, it will be nice to play with some yellow cards for once, and I hope I can pilot this deck with success on the ladder!

Thanks for sharing with us all, and I look forward to playing your deck tonight
